The space
At home a clear floor and a bench; on the water a dragon boat with a drummer or caller and a steersperson, life jackets and an adult cover boat.
Where it fits: indoor room (stroke on land), club water.
Kit
A broom handle or a short stick as a paddle for land practice; life jacket on the water.
Safety
Before joining, float on the back, tread water and swim 50 m in light clothing; a lifejacket of the right size, fastened, at all times on the water; an adult in every boat with children; never capsize a big boat on purpose with children; check the weather and stop if it turns; watch for cold; never alone.
