A Wise Athlete is an information platform for Indian student-athletes and their families — government schemes, sports quota, schooling options, foreign university pathways and related guidance. These terms explain what you can expect from using it, and what we expect in return. They are written to reflect what this platform actually is, not a generic template.

Information, not advice

Everything on this platform — scheme eligibility, stipend and scholarship figures, exam and admission processes, sports quota rules, foreign university pathways — is general information, not individual legal, financial, immigration, medical or professional advice for your specific situation. It is written and sourced carefully, and every scheme figure is meant to carry a note telling you where to verify it, but government schemes, eligibility rules, deadlines and amounts genuinely change, sometimes without much notice. We are the guide to the official source, not a substitute for it. Before you or your family act on anything here — apply for a scheme, choose a schooling option, make a financial decision — verify the current details at the official source we point to, or with a qualified professional where the decision warrants one.

Nothing on this platform should be read as a guarantee of any outcome — selection into a scheme, admission to an institution, or any specific result of following advice given here.

Who this is for

Some content is relevant to families with children as young as 8, but the platform is written for and addressed to parents and older student-athletes deciding together, not directly to young children. If you are old enough to make your own account-free use of a website or app without a parent or guardian's involvement under the law that applies to you, you may use this platform on that basis; otherwise, use it with a parent or guardian.

There is no account or sign-up

Neither the website nor the app has a login, a user account, or a comment system, so there is no user-submitted content on this platform to moderate or be responsible for. The Guide tool's reading-order results and the app's saved articles, series progress and settings all stay on your own device or in your own browser — see the Privacy Policy for exactly what is and isn't collected.

Acceptable use

Use this platform for its intended purpose — reading and referring to its content. Don't scrape, systematically republish, or resell its content wholesale; don't attempt to interfere with how the website or app operates (including its advertising); don't use either in a way that violates any law that applies to you. The app's underlying content API exists to serve the app itself, not as a public data feed for other use.

Content and intellectual property

The articles, illustrations, diagrams and branding on this platform belong to Ransh Innovations unless a specific source is credited otherwise (for example, a cited government portal, or an attributed photograph in the Stories section). You're welcome to link to any page here. Copying substantial article text or figures elsewhere without permission isn't — if you want to republish or quote at length, contact us first at the address above.

Links to other sites

Articles cite and link to official government portals, universities, sports federations and news sources so you can verify figures at the source. Once you follow one of those links you are on a site we don't control or vouch for, governed by its own terms, not these.

Advertising

The website carries ads served through Google AdSense; the app, once it carries them, uses Google AdMob. Both are Google's own services, governed by Google's own terms and policies as well as these — see the Privacy Policy for what that means for your data and the choices available to you.

No warranty

This platform is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind, express or implied — including that it will always be available, error-free, uninterrupted, or current at the exact moment you read it. We work to keep scheme information accurate and to flag when a figure needs verification, but we don't warrant that every detail is current or complete at all times.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Ransh Innovations is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of this platform, or from decisions made based on its content — including reliance on a scheme figure, eligibility rule, or deadline that has since changed. This is exactly why every scheme figure is meant to carry a verify-at-source note: the source, not this platform, is the authority on its own current rules.
