The space
A clear 3 m by 4 m floor and a wall for home drills; a rope or a bench as a low "net"; the TEQ table (3.0 m long, 1.5 m wide, curved, a 14 cm net) is club-only; the official court is at least 12 m by 16 m.
Where it fits: terrace, lane, yard, hall.
Practice kit first
A size 5 football (67 to 69 cm round, 370 to 400 g); cones or plates; chalk or tape.
Safety
A clear floor; no jewellery; never touch the table or the net; warm up ankles and hips; headers few and light (no more than 10 in a session), with a softer ball for younger children.
