Mark your space
Mark it once. Every card in padel starts from this space and adds what it needs.
The space
At home a wall for solo back-glass rally practice and a clear 4 m by 4 m; a full court is 20 m by 10 m with walls and a net. The court is taught in three areas: the back, the transition area (between the service line and the back) and the front or net.
Where it fits: terrace, lane (wall), indoor hall, a padel club.
Mark in this order
- A wall line at net height
- A home base spot
- A service target
Chalk or tape is enough. Tick each mark as you make it.
Practice kit first
A short racket or a table-tennis bat, a soft ball or a foam ball; a padel racket and ball at a club.
The racket's wrist strap is worn.
Safety
Court shoes; a safe distance from others in a small court; check the wall for glass.
