Mark your space
Mark it once. Every card in flying disc (ultimate) starts from this space and adds what it needs.
The space
A yard or park of about 20 m by 10 m; two cones as end zones; a wall is not needed. Full-size field: ask the club.
Where it fits: lane, park, school ground, village ground. Wind changes the flight: a disc thrown into the wind rises, with the wind sinks.
Mark in this order
- The throwing line
- Two cones 10 strides apart
- End zones
Chalk or tape is enough. Tick each mark as you make it.
Practice kit first
A soft disc, a foam plate or a bean bag or squishy ball for rules practice (Speed Ball).
Safety
No contact; players make their own calls and replay a play they cannot agree on; warm up first; the marker keeps an arm's length and only one player marks; never throw into a group; indoors keep throws short.
