The game: Beat your mark

The height of your best touch above your standing reach is your score.

Who plays: 1 or more, taking turns.

How to play, turn by turn
Turns
  1. Each player's standing reach is marked
  2. Each player has 3 jumps; the best touch counts
  3. Measure from the standing reach to the best touch
Fair play
Each player is measured from their own reach, so different heights play fairly.
Points
1 point for each centimetre above your standing reach.
Fouls
The jump does not count
  • A step or run-up in the two-foot jumps
  • The landing is not held (a step or a fall)
Winning
Beat your own best mark. With two players, the bigger number wins.
Stars
  1. 15 cm for 1 star
  2. 25 cm for 2 stars
  3. 35 cm for 3 stars
