- Read the penalised actions: blocking without attacking for more than 10 to 15 seconds, twisting the collar, grabbing the trousers or sleeves, a false attack, speaking to the referee, refusing the bow.
- Read the Jazo rule and act it out: both take a belt grip, and one must try a technique.

Referee
The rules
You describe an action; the child calls the penalty or the score.
- Describe something that happens in a bout: "she grabbed his trousers", "nobody attacked for 20 seconds", "a throw onto the side"
- The child, as referee, calls the penalty or the score
- 10 descriptions, then swap
Fair play: A grown-up referee must also say why.
- Points
- 1 point for each right call.
- Fouls
- No point: the penalties in the wrong order; calling a score for a banned technique
- Win
- More points after 10 descriptions each.
- 5
- 8
- 10
