Starfish

The rules

On your call the child floats as a starfish with your hand under them, then stands up on the next call.

  1. Call "starfish": the child spreads arms and legs and floats, your hand under the back or tummy
  2. Count slowly to 3
  3. Call "stand": the child brings the knees in and stands
  4. 6 starfish, front and back

Fair play: Stop at once if the child is upset; make it play.

Points
1 point for each float held for 3; 1 point for each stand-up with no help.
Fouls
No points for that turn: holding the breath until red in the face (breathe out with bubbles instead); grabbing the parent's neck; floating away out of arm's reach
Win
Beat your best from 6 starfish.
