  1. Two teams stand facing each other along the centre line; give the teams names.
  2. Call one team's name: that team chases the other back to its safe line.
  3. Show leapfrog: one crouches low with the head tucked, the other jumps over with the hands on the back.

Call and chase

The rules

The called team chases; each tag scores.

  1. Teams face each other at the centre line, a step apart
  2. Call a team: it chases; the other runs to its safe line
  3. A player tagged before the safe line scores a point for the chasers
  4. Everyone lines up again. 10 calls

Fair play: A grown-up plays walking only.

Points
1 point to the chasing team for each tag before the safe line.
Fouls
The tag does not count: running before the call; pushing instead of touching; tagging after the runner crosses the safe line
Win
The team with more points after 10 calls.
