A disc; open field.
Three minutes to get warm.
Easy jogging on the spot, then arms and legs. How to warm up well is explained at workonfitness.com.
- Throw a slow, high disc ahead of the runner.
- Point to where you think it will land, and say which way the wind will push it.
- Run straight to that spot and catch it there.
Show it once from the front and once from the side, slowly. Then let your child try.
- Run onto a disc thrown ahead of you.
- Catch it at full speed, taking the most direct path.
- Throws from the side, then from behind.
How much: 8 runs
Run to it, do not wait

The rules
Before each catch the runner says which way the disc will drift; a point for each right call and catch.
- The runner starts 5 m in front of you
- Throw a floating disc ahead of them
- As it leaves your hand, the runner calls "left", "right" or "straight" for the drift
- 8 throws
Fair play: A grown-up runner starts level with the thrower.
- Points
- 1 point for the right call; 1 point for the catch.
- Fouls
- No points for that throw: waiting for the disc instead of running to it; calling after the disc has turned; a collision with another runner
- Win
- Beat your best from 8 throws.

- 10
