- Get your child's attention first.

Put the phone down where you can see it. Tap Next with your thumb, or use the arrow keys.
Is the space marked?
- The start line
- Two lines of cones
- A square
- A stopping line for the braking game
Cones or shoes 3 m apart in a slalom; two lines of cones 2 m apart.
Three minutes to get warm.
Easy jogging on the spot, then arms and legs. How to warm up well is explained at workonfitness.com.
- Ride slowly between the two lines of cones, looking at the far end.
- Ride round the square, looking at the next corner before you reach it.
- Ride the slalom, looking at each gap and turning the bars gently.
Show it once from the front and once from the side, slowly. Then let your child try.
- Ride between the two lines of cones.
- Ride round a square, clockwise and anticlockwise.
- Make a U-turn.
- Ride the slalom, looking where you want to go.
How much: 5 laps each
Look at the gap, not the cone
Follow my line
The rules
One rider rides a path through the cones and the others copy it exactly.
- The leader rides a path through the cones and calls "done"
- Each follower rides the same path
- Next rider leads. 5 turns each
Fair play: A grown-up must lead slowly and keep both hands on the bars.
- Points
- A follower scores 2 points for an exact copy, 1 point for one wrong gap; the leader scores 1 point for each follower who misses a gap.
- Fouls
- No points for that ride: touching a cone; a foot down; the leader rides a path they cannot ride cleanly themselves
- Win
- The most points after everyone has led 5 times.
- 6
- 10
- 15
The slalom without touching a cone, 3 times.
End on one that works. If it was hard today, finish with the easier version.
Well played.
