- A throwing or shooting spot 2 m from the wall or hoop
- Chalk lines for the lines game
- Two cones 5 m apart for dribbling
A hoop with a backboard. A ball.
Three minutes to get warm.
Easy jogging on the spot, then arms and legs. How to warm up well is explained at workonfitness.com.

Box out
The rules
As the shot goes up, the rebounder turns and keeps the shooter behind their back until the ball bounces, then goes for it.
- The shooter shoots from 3 m
- The rebounder boxes out; the shooter tries to get round for the ball
- Whoever catches the rebound scores
- 10 shots, then swap
Fair play: A grown-up shooter only walks round the box-out, never pushes.
- Points
- 1 point for a rebound caught with two hands; 1 more point for a box-out held until the ball bounced.
- Fouls
- A point to the other player: pushing with the hands or arms; holding; climbing over the back of the player boxing out
- Win
- More points after 10 shots each.
- 5
- 9
- 13
