  • Chalk lines for the lines game
  • Two cones 5 m apart for dribbling

Show it · 1 minute
  1. Each defender stands between their attacker and the basket.
  2. When the shot goes up, each defender turns, finds their player and boxes out.
  3. The nearest defender takes the ball; the others hold their box-outs.

Show it once from the front and once from the side, slowly. Then let your child try.

The skill · 10 minutes
  1. 2 against 2 (or 4 against 4) on the outside spots.
  2. You pass round the outside; attackers move.
  3. On every shot, each defender boxes out their player.
  4. Then the defence rebounds.
